Windows 11 TPM 2.0 Bypass Installation Guide - Easy Way to Upgrade Old PC to Windows 11
Updated for Windows 11, October 2025
Windows 11 is forcibly blocked from installation on computers that don’t support TPM 2.0.
However, by simply bypassing TPM 2.0, you can install Windows 11 even on older PCs.
Let me guide you through this process in a way that’s easy to follow, even for beginners.
- Download ISO from Microsoft’s official website
- Create bootable USB with Rufus
- Install Windows 11
Let’s get started!
Download Windows 11 Installation Image (ISO)
First, you need to download the installation disk image from Microsoft’s website.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
Visit the website above and scroll down slightly to find the Disk Image (ISO) download section.
Select “Multi-edition ISO for x64 devices” and click the [Download Now] button.
After selecting Windows language and clicking [Confirm], the [64-bit Download] button will appear.
Click the [64-bit Download] button to start downloading the ISO.
The file size is about 7GB.
Depending on your internet speed, the download may take 5 to 30 minutes, so please be patient.

Create Bootable USB with Rufus
Rufus is a tool that easily creates bootable USB drives from disk images (ISO).
Download the latest version from the Rufus homepage.
https://rufus.ie/

You can download the top one from the list, or download the portable version.
I’ll download the portable version for convenience.

First, remove all USB drives from your PC and connect only one USB drive.
When you overwrite the USB with the Windows disk image (ISO), all data on the USB will be deleted.
To avoid mistakes, make sure to unplug all other USB drives from your PC.
When you first run Rufus, it will ask if you want to check for updates.
It’s not that important, so click the [No] button.

When the Rufus window opens, check the USB capacity.
Make sure you haven’t accidentally plugged in the wrong USB drive.
Then click the [SELECT] button and choose the Win11_25H2_Korean_x64.iso file you just downloaded.
Rufus will automatically configure all settings by recognizing the ISO file characteristics.

The important part: when the Windows User Experience customization window appears, make sure to check these two options:
- Remove requirement for 4GB+ RAM, Secure Boot and TPM 2.0
- Remove requirement for an online Microsoft account

You must check these options when creating the bootable USB to bypass TPM 2.0 and install Windows 11 on older PCs.
Now click the [START] button to create your Windows 11 bootable USB!
Install Windows 11 from Bootable USB
Now we’ll boot from the USB and start installing Windows 11.
Press the Windows start button and run Settings,
or press Windows key + I to access Settings.
Click Update & Security from the Settings menu,
Click the Recovery menu on the left, and you’ll see the [Restart now] button.
When you click the [Restart now] button, your PC will reboot and display the options screen shown below.
On this screen, click the [Use a device] button to boot from the USB you created with Rufus and start the Windows 11 installation.
